Classic chess is a two-player strategy game played on an 8×8 grid of 64 squares. Each player begins with 16 pieces: a king, a queen, two knights, two rooks, two bishops, and eight pawns. The objective is to checkmate your opponent’s king, trapping it so that it cannot escape capture. The game can be enjoyed against artificial intelligence or with a partner on the same device. Additionally, the game offers features to help solve chess puzzles.
